Emerald green eyes sparkled softly as the massive beast moved about the forests, his body not blending in in the slightest. If anything he looked like moving fire but that required darkness and right now the sun was at a happy arch, just past the center of the sky. A pause came from the five foot creature, black grey head turning slightly to look calmly over his shoulder at the land that disappeared below him. He was climbing a mountain, but for what reason Dante wasn't sure.
Maybe it was for the peace and solitude. Being the newest member of the Vedetta group was slightly nerve wracking and even though he got along with all the members his solitary drive still told him he wanted his private time, a time for him to think and wonder. A time for him to be his old self... The self that just stared at the sky and watched the birds fly and the wind blow.
Dante was a complicated yet simplistic creature.
Body dancing with flames, black bone rising in large spikes from his frame and claws larger then that of most bears this creature was a sight for anyone. And yet... In this group he didn't feel out casted. There was a lizard like wolf who looked like someone had thrown paint all over her and another with antlers much like a deers. He wasn't too far out of the mix. Plus to top it all off he was getting along rather well with M'Lady Eden. She seemed to almost smile when around him and yet did not with the others. It caused his mind to tumble but he would not protest it.
Legs began to move again, body movements fluid, rippling as he continued to venture forward. The ground soon turned to snow, the grasses disappearing. Rocks were few and far between, hidden beneath the white blanket. Dante looked back once more, smirking faintly at the trail his tail left behind him before he turned back around and continued his slow gait.
Slowly reaching the summit of the mountain, his body stilling as the beast raised his head over his back and looked up deeply into the sky. This place was beautiful, this world was beautiful. Everything around him only confirmed how he thought and with a soft exhale the male dropped his head between his shoulders and lay down calmly into the pure white substance.

Eden would have missed him entirely had she not been tuned into his thoughts, his and the others in the clan she'd taken a liking to. Those she considered the biggest assets to the pack and those she considered friends rather than acquaintances or followers. Wayan and Malachi were no longer Eden's only companions and though he was new to the Vedetta, Eden saw something in Dante that she liked.
"Being part of a pack is proving difficult for you?" Eden asked quietly as she suddenly appeared to his left, sat in the snow upon her haunches as though she'd been there for hours as opposed to mere seconds. It wasn't like Eden to socialize with members of her clan un-flanked by her guard, but at times even Eden liked time alone. Time to contemplate her existence perhaps? And what an existence it was. It was quite daunting at times to know you were going to live forever..
The wind whipped at her erratic fur mercilessly as she remained a wind breaker at his side, her tails swaying lightly behind her by no effort of hers. It was relaxing atop the mountains and Eden regularly haunted these peeks.
"Do you miss nomadic life?" It was probably rude of her to pry in on others' thoughts, but when they screamed out at her as they did with him, all she could do was listen. Dante was like an open book to her, she'd never felt anything like it.. She'd met others who had been easy to read ( Twi definitely wasn't one of them, ) but he was different, and that's probably why he interested her.
"You do know that though you are part of my clan, and a member of the Vedetta, you are free to come and go as you please?" After all, it wasn't as if she couldn't find and phase to him should she need him, and there were always others ready to take his place. The clan was a very exclusive one and Eden was rather select on who she accepted.

A voice, soft but hard, met the males ears as he slowly turned his head to glimpse the white goddess. With a soft exhale the tall Qalateqa slowly rose from the gleaming white ground and sat up on his haunches head held proudly yet lazily between his shoulders. With a calm shake of his head Dante would turn his eyes to Eden.
"No, M'Lady. Tis just... Different. I've never been fully... Accepted as I am being right now... Tis nothing but a shock." His voice was calm, smooth and quiet. Dante had always been a calm creature. Even in the most horrific and fast paced situations he was always calm and collected. Turning his lips up into a slow half smile the beast let his head turn forward once more, emerald green eyes looking out into the vast endless sky and mountain ranges, feeling the snow starting to melt under his paws and backside.
At her next question the male would drop his gaze from the vast open space to the white substance clinging desperately to his paws and fur. "Not as much as I would have thought M'Lady. There are times... Like now... Were Solitude is wished for but being with others... More like m'self... It kinda... Rewarding. It's nice to see and talk with others in much the same boat as m'self." Forest green eyes would glance over to the Goddess before looking back out onto the other mountain summits.
He didn't mind it so much that Eden was looking into him. He actually rather enjoyed the conversation he was having and was grateful for her company whenever she wished to grace him with her presence. He felt honored and indebted to her for this opportunity and would always hold her with high respect.
At her last statement the Qalateqa would tilt his head to the side, blinking softly. "I understand that M'Lady. But I... There is something about being with the others that... Keeps me here... That begs me to stay whenever I feel like wondering off. Even though I'm new... I feel attached to them in some weird strange way M'Lady." It was indeed odd for Dante to feel like this, but it was mostly because he was around others who were just as different as him, if not more so. Breathing softly, a flame marked paw would shift the snow before his green pools of intelligence would rest upon the pure white wolf-ess once more, concern flooding them.
"Do you wish for me to leave M'Lady?"

It made her inwardly smirk to see that Dante no longer jumped when she appeared so suddenly. She had always found it quite entertaining to startle the 'newbies' of the clan by phasing in and out unannounced, after all, Eden did have a sense of humor. Still, it was also quite comforting in a way, to know that he was used to her unexpected presence.
"I'm sure the shock will pass," and if it didn't entirely, it would definitely fade. Eden had never had the feeling of not being accepted, she'd always had wolves eager to follow but being inside Dante's head allowed her to feel what he did and if she were honest and spoke openly about it, she'd have felt the need to apologize for not finding him sooner. It was common knowledge that Eden was known for seeking out her clan members before they even knew of Elysian's existence. She could have her eyes set upon a beast for up to a year before they even crossed paths with her - Jericho was a prime example of this.
Again Eden could relate. Being a goddess did take it's toll, even if it were impossible for her to fall sick or catch disease. Her mental health could take a bashing and when you were ruling the better part of the world, one did get tired. She liked her own solitude and yet with the Vedetta around, she'd rarely get it. Fortunately, her phasing ability made it easy for her to slip away from unwanted company, and remaining in limbo, between phasing out and phasing in, was the perfect place to find that peace.
"I don't wish for you to leave, I came here searching for you." Though she visited the mountains often, she did tend to only come when they were empty. "I wanted to find out how you feel you're settling with us -" she could quite easily have read his thoughts to find out as much, but again, she'd taken a liking to Dante. "By the sounds of it you have no problem with being part of the Vedetta, or those you're there with, but is there anything I could do or offer you that would make you enjoy pack life better?"
