Appearance
York’s white colored fur is smooth and slick with blue colored fur along his back and the top of his head. He has green eyes and a tattoo on the left side of his face, shaped like the Roman numeral two.
York is beginning to age slightly, but he is still quite active and fit. His body build is slender, allowing him to get into areas most other canines can’t. His muscles are more attuned to running for long distances; they are also quite flexible, giving York an added ability to reach places thought unreachable.
Personality
York is a wise ass in every sense. Nothing gives him more joy than using wit for entertainment, even if that has to be at the expense of others. His age has given him ample time to perfect his craft. His general assumption of others is that they are all idiots, just waiting to provide him with material. Those he respects are those who do not become flustered by his cleaver vocabulary wielding.
As a wise ass, and a smart one at that, he is exceptionally good at exposing hypocrisies and lies. York despises those who use others only for their own purposes, and values life very much. If he thinks someone is being an idiot or a tool, he will waste no time pointing it out in usual smart aleck fashion.
He also finds enjoyment in stealing items for himself and others. Though it is more a hobby than anything, thievery comes naturally to him. With a naturally flexible body and a silver tongue capable of dealing an instantaneous lie, York can get in, around, and through just about anything and lie his way out of trouble under pressure. Good thing too, because when it comes right down to it, York will do anything to save his own skin.
History
York’s family was once owned by a human dog breeder, in the days from before the human extinction. The humans had been keeping multiple breeds of dogs to sell to loving homes. When they all died out though, York’s ancestors began to mate. After several generations of this cross-breeding, York’s family was a veritable cornucopia of breeds. He gained many good qualities of those breeds, but also many of the faults of them.
When he was younger, York was a fairly complacent mutt. There was enough food for everyone and he was generally respected, so he never saw any reason to feel resent toward anyone. As he grew older though, old family ties became strained and he felt it was in his best interest to leave. He doesn’t talk about that part of his life often, though he is sometimes caught alluding to his “bigoted, incestual kin.”
For several years, he spent his time alone, harassing other lone dogs and wolves. Most of them were unwilling to listen to his diluted advise, and so he now is searching for a pack who will respect his opinions more.
